When you look at what both Soriano and Lee have gotten to play essentially the same position [presuming the Cubs don&#039;t play Alfonso in CF], Manny&#039;s deal really doesn&#039;t look that bad.  That&#039;ll both help move him and also provide an impetus to keep him.  As much as it never looked like it&#039;d happen, the present market correction is bringing the market back to Manny after all these years.

I think the end-game will be this: line up a deal for him.  Watch Manny object.  Pull the deal, and he stays until the end of his contract.</description>
