Dave’s also got some nice things to say (though i can’t claim the open source dev title – Gentoo’s documentation is so good that anyone can install it)

Stephen: re O’Reilly’s Web2.0 report – it’s expensive, so I passed on the opportunity. Having read the free excerpt, it looks like it could be interesting, but who wants to find out? Besides, I view anything that uses the expression “best practice” with some suspicion …
On another topic – I’ve played with the Edgy Eft live CD – very clean and pretty fast on my Thinkpad T42 with 2GB RAM … I might have to install the server edition on my crock-of-s**t box at home to see how it flies (currently running Suse v10, but Novell is out of favour with me at the moment).
