Gentoo’s founder on the IBM OpenSolaris comments from News.com; i’ll have more on this soon – but the short version is that i don’t agree w/ IBM here, nor do i think things like this are productive

thought i’d already del.icio.us’d this, but apparently not; in any event, congrats to team DTrace – interesting win

Gobby is already cross platform- I’ve used it on Windows (just as a test, never seriously), and supposedly it builds on OS/X, though they have no packages. Someone really should convince those guys to quit school and do it fulltime 🙂

Luis: works on Windows? how did i miss that? need to give that a whirl shortly, and maybe i can get Cote to try and build it under OS X. you’re also right that those guys need to quit school. tell them to do it for me 🙂
