Why? Guess. What could have made it better? Something other than this.
Have I mentioned that I love baseball?
* Bonus points for anyone who gets that movie reference (it’s obscure)

The only reference that springs to mind is from “The English Patient”, where the title character says (refering to walking through a barran landscape with nobody around) “that was a good day”.
Wqell it is safe to say it is not “Pride of the Yankees”, so maybe it was “Fever Pitch”?
Schilling threw 117 pitches. He came out to pitch the 7th with a big lead after already throwing ~100 pitches - why?
Chris: wasn’t what i was thinking of, but seems to be an answer that works.
Christopher: _definitely_ not Fever Pitch Alex: two reasons, i think:
1. it’s schilling, who’s stubborn as hell 2. it was the 7-8-9 hitters coming up
i leave it to you to determine which is more relevant
