Oracle best in the industry for group calendar scheduling

So says Michael Sampson. What Oracle has achieved here rocks big time. This is the best implementation of calendaring for enterprise users that I am aware of to date. The Steltor technology is obviously playing a big and important role...

hey DeWitt: will drop in at least a bookmark for ya ;)

anyway, the little doggie icon is the Beagle desktop search plugin, not much good unless you're on Linux. but the magnifying glass is cool; it's the BetterSearch plugin which marries Alexa thumbnails to sites to returned results in Google, del.icio.us, and of course - A9 ;) big fan.

if you haven't done the yubnub thing yet, tho, that's my favorite recent Firefox innovation. i can search Amazon, eMusic, WikiPedia, Google Maps, and more from the address bar - it rocks.

on the AdBlock, i actually did use it but decided not to. it's stupid, i know, to worry about skipping ads, but even if i don't click them i don't feel comfortable removing them. so i pulled AdBlock. hugely useful plugin tho.

Not to get you off on another topic or anything, but if you have a second, I'd love to see you post on the apps you are using these days.

I looked at the screenshot and saw a lot of familiar things (ahem, no A9 toolbar or bookmark, though!). Greasemonkey, the gmail notifier, etc... But what is the little doggie icon? Or the magnifying glass?

And I highly recommend adding Adblock to Firefox while you are at it... Here are two short posts I wrote about add-ons for Firefox:

 http://www.unto.net/unto/work/better_browsing/
 http://www.unto.net/unto/work/essential_firefox/

(Actually, now that I think about it, you may have even responded to them before I lost my old comments...)

More thoughts on your actual post on calendaring/messaging solutions in a bit...
