Like Chris DiBona - who incidentally was one of the judges of the Golden Penguin Bowl the other day - I think O’Reilly’s got a hit with its new MAKE ‘mook.’ The mook term derives from its hybrid magazine/book nature. I’d read about it on BoingBoing and other places, but didn’t pick one up until I stopped by the O’Reilly booth at LinuxWorld yesterday. It’s sweet, with all kinds of useful tips and tricks - from Gmail and Excel hacks to how to get into aerial photography via kites. After this issue, they can count me as a subscriber - this thing is awesome.
