TurboTax’s Support for Linux is Lacking

TurboTax Doesn’t Dig Firefox

Originally uploaded by sogrady.

This is the screen I got when I tried to check my filing status from home last night. It appears to be a Linux issue rather than Firefox issue, however, as I was able to login from Firefox on my Win 2K box. I’ll be interested to see if this is the case next year, simply as an indication of the importance of platform independence in web application design. But for now, thumbs down Intuit.

Amen. It worked fine the last couple years in Mozilla. Now they break it, and why? I hope they suffer enough that the execs come down on the techs that did this. –Mike D.

i just don’t get the why’s of it. what are they relying on from a platform level that makes it non-portable. if it was an IE thing, i could understand it. but it’s not.
