Dan Gillmor is reporting that this picture - documenting my trip up to Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the ALCS - would not be able to be taken under a proposed ban of “unauthorized” cameras in the NY subway system.
Kudos to Dan and folks like Schneier for fighting the good fight when it comes to pointless security. Most of us are willing to make some sacrifices in the interest of public safety, but the absurdity of some of the proposed changes is just mindblowing.
