Mobile Do Not Call List?

Just got the following from my brother and thought I’d pass it along for the stateside readers with cell phones.

In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing
companies and you will start to receive sales calls on cell phones. Call
this number from your cell phone 888-382-1222. It is the national Do Not
Call list. It blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass on,

Last thing I need is another channel for spam, so I signed up. The home Do Not Call registry buckled quickly under load, so I’d get in quickly.

Update: Just heard from a friend of mine that this is either false or somewhat exaggerated, depending on how you view such things. Check the Snopes entry here. The good news? Adding your # to the list won’t do any harm.
