This week I’ve been at Monospace in my home town of Austin, Texas. It’s been an excellent deep-dive – with much code on screen – into the Mono world, the open source .Net implementation. Thanks to Scott Bellware (@bellware) and the other organizers, I was able to record the keynote given by Miguel de Icaza. I’m not sure what the title was, but I thought it was an excellent history of Mono capped off with a “state of Mono” end. It’s worth the listen if you’re in the Mono, .Net, or even open source development world – there’s lots of good background and history laced throughout.
