CloudCampAustin this weekend, April 25

Current Theory on "Cloud Computing"

As you hopefully know by now, dear readers, CloudCampAustin is this Saturday. Along with the other volunteer organizers, I’ve been pitching in to help set this event up, and it’s looking like it’ll be a fun one:

The day will start at 10AM at the ACTlabs (map), we’ll figure out what sessions and talks to have (add some to the wiki ahead of time, if you’d like), there’ll be some lightening talks (from sponsors and others), then we’ll get into the meat of the day, all the conversations around cloud computing. We’ve got food from Torchy’s Tacos, Tiff’s Treats, Mangia’s (one of my favorite Austin pizzerias) lined up, and an after party across the street with adult beverages.

I’ve been speaking with several folks ahead of time about their ideas for talks and there’s some good ones cooking up. Also, as we did at BarCampAustin4, Dog Food Software is bringing along all their recording equipment so we can do a second Profiles in Courage showcase. It’s fun to go over to the registration page and check out the list of folks who’ve signed up; looks like it’ll be a nice crowd.

As with all CloudCamps, this one is free to attend, but if you’d like to come, go ahead and sign up on the event registration page, least we run out space.

Also, thanks to the sponsors who’ve signed up for this event:
